Religious Formation & Education
The Church of the Annunciation Parish School of Religion offers formal catholic religious education to students in grades K-8 who attend schools where catholic religious education is not available.
Religious Education grades 1-8 meet every Wednesday evening at Annunciation School, during the academic year from 7:00pm to 8:15 p.m. Children attending Kindergarten meet at 9am Mass on Sunday morning and attend the Children’s Liturgy of the Word Program followed by instruction until 10am in the school gym.
Children in every grade receive instruction and share experiences appropriate to their age. Our kindergarten to 8th grade program prepares your child to live as an active member of the Church. Each year of instruction builds upon the previous year from Kindergarten to your child receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in the 2nd grade to the reception of Confirmation in the 8th grade. It is recommended that each child attends formal catholic religious education beginning at Kindergarten through 8th grade. We also provide programs for older children who want to become Catholic or have not received the sacraments.
