Conflicts are often hard to resolve and can be even more challenging in the church. Scripture tells us that this has always been true. Today, conflicts are often subject to immediate publicity and the process of healing may be harder than ever. But today’s readings confirm that the ultimate root of reconciliation is always the same. If we love and respect one another, the steps to healing are made possible … even easier.  More specifically, the more we are able to love God with our whole being and to love our neighbor as ourselves, the more we will keep the commandments and experience the blessings God wishes to bestow on us such as peace, joy and fulfillment.
