Annunciation Catholic Church offers formal Catholic religious education to students in grades 1-8 who attend schools where Catholic religious education is not available. Religious Education in grades one through eight will meet each week via Zoom due to Covid. Children in every grade receive instruction and share experiences appropriate to their age. Our program prepares your child to live as an active member of the Church. Each year of instruction builds upon the previous year from the beginning, to your child receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in the 2nd grade, and to the reception of Confirmation in the 8th grade. Our "Faith Fun" program for PK2 to Kindergarten meets every Sunday after the 10am Zoom Children's Liturgy of the Word. (There is no formal registration for Faith Fun.) It is recommended that each child attend formal catholic religious education beginning at 1st grade through 8th grade. We also provide programs for older children who want to become Catholic or have not received the sacraments. If you have a special needs child, please do not hesitate to call Andreja Mezek at 202-362-3323 x13 or email mezek@annunciationdc.org. Programs and materials can be tailored to meet the needs of all children.
